This dark tale is Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, read by Dan Jones, with the gentle sound of natural rain in the background to help lull you to sleep as you listen to this calmly read tale. There are a few errors in this 9+hour audiobook which I've noticed now but not while editing so much work. Hopefully they aren't too distracting. This was also recorded sometime ago in three sittings and released previously as three videos. Between the recording I happened to change microphones and when these were separate videos I didn't notice the difference, but with the three-parts connected here you can notice the difference. So at about 4h10m in it moves to the second microphone and remains as this microphone for the rest of the recording.

Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a sapient creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment from dead remains. Once the creature becomes a living breathing articulate entity, it turns on its maker and the novel darkens into tragedy.
