What Does YouTube Pay For 1 Million Views & How Has That Changed Over Time?

This is quickly going through what YouTube has paid me per 1 million views within each year since 2018, with the most recent total being the beginning of January 2023. It is common to hear that YouTube are paying less for ad revenue now than they used to, but the reality is that they seem to be paying more. Obviously, the channel increasing in size likely helps, so advertisers perhaps want to have ads on my channel more than they did when the channel was smaller, but it is usually more established channels who say that revenue has decreased, rather than it being small, new channels. This is also income based on only having pre-roll ads, no mid-roll or post-roll ads on the videos. Having these can increase the revenue earned significantly. It would be typical perhaps to be making 3-4x this amount if I had adverts during my videos and after my videos, not just at the beginning of the videos.
