Russian Drones Hit Ukrainian City Sumy, 15 Injured in Overnight Attack

At least 15 people were injured after Russian drone strikes hit the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy overnight, according to local officials.

Dramatic visuals show burning cars, damaged apartment buildings, and emergency crews rushing to rescue the wounded. Authorities say multiple residential areas were affected in the attack.

Sumy region governor Oleh Hryhorov confirmed the casualties, as tensions between Russia and Ukraine continue to escalate.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin, through spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, said Russia is ready to resume oil flows via the Druzhba pipeline if Kyiv allows it. Ukraine maintains the disruption followed earlier strikes, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signaling a possible restart soon.

The European Union has also stepped in, with foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas indicating a major financial support package for Ukraine could be approved.

The conflict continues to intensify, with both military and economic fronts in focus.
