China's Sinovac CoronaVac COVID-19 Vaccine: How Does It Work, Phase 1/2/3 Trials, And Roll Out!

A Chinese company called Sinovac has also produced a COVID-19 vaccine titled the CoronaVac. In this video, we illustrate how this vaccine works. It is an inactive viral vaccine, unlike many of the other COVID-19 vaccines out there. What is an inactivated viral vaccine and what other vaccines are similar? We describe the Phase 1, 2, and 3 Trial data out there on the CoronaVac including adverse effects, immunogenicity, and efficacy (there is some discussion to be had here!).
