In 1993, Michael Jackson sat down for an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey at his Neverland Valley Ranch in Los Olivos, California. The enigmatic and enormously talented man-child, who had lived for 14 years in almost total recluse, agreed to the live, around-the-world TV special in order to set the record straight about painful misunderstandings concerning his skin disease, his plastic surgeries, his virginity and his relationship with children and animals.
The special, which featured a singing and dance demonstration by the King of Pop, was seen by millions around the world. It led to an even greater following for the entertainer and sky-rocketed Winfrey's career.
