Back away from the hole saw. Router jigs anyone can make with simple tools.

Without the hole, it's just plain old corn! I came up with this method for cutting the cornhole board holes and I gotta say, it's pretty great. This video shows you how to make a baseplate template. The measurements in this video are for using a router with a round 6" baseplate and 1/4" bit. Use variations on these methods for any woodworking project where you need to cut clean holes.

Tools:
Router (full size for the holes and palm to make the template)
Palm Router is easier for a circle jig as shown in video - you'll also use this for rounding over all your edges.
Up cut "upspiral" router bit.

Materials:
1/4" Plexiglass acrylic or mdf 2' x 18" or more
1/4" board to make your circle jig
a nail
clamps
