Eastern Cape intern nurses finally receive payment from the government
More than 600 intern nurses in the Eastern Cape were left desperate and without employment after their contracts were not renewed by the provincial government, during the covid-10 second wave. One of the intern nurses spoke to us on the AM Report after she took to social media to share her plight and that of her colleagues. Since the incident, there have been some positive developments. Professional nurse, Nomvo Makata from Bhisho has more.
