Ford C-Max Hybrid 12V battery upgrade to 600CCA

Hi Everyone, here is the process to upgrade the OEM 12V battery which is a group 67R with 390 CCA to a group 96R battery that has 600 CCA. The battery is only receiving a 13.4V charge from the charging system which is not good enough for a lead acid cel which needs at least 14+ volts to charge the battery properly a lesser than adequate voltage for charging a lead-acid cell will cause it to degrade and shorten it's lifetime. Supposedly Ford has a campaign on the 2013 and 14 models with this issue. But unfortunately speaking to any of the Ford tech's wich have no idea about these vehicles or the campaign and want you to bring it in so that you can pay hundreds of dollars and they don't fix anything. I’ve had the battery in the car for the past month and a half and noticed that the little electrical glitch that we had on the radio is gone where it would not displaying the radio stations. That was most likely due to the other battery already at the end it’s life and not having much charge in it. I Live in an area that winters are really cold -35c and summers are really hot +30c so it’s a hard environment for these small lead acid style batteries. I would like to get an AGM battery which should’ve been installed directly from factory it is a much better battery compared to the lead acid. I know that there are a couple in the group 96R, eventually I’ll grab one of those. The battery that I just installed will have to do for the time being because it was on warranty to replace the other one .
