Ground source borehole - Thermia Heat Pumps

To use a borehole as a heat source, one or more holes are drilled into the ground, into which the heat transfer fluid pipe is lowered.

The pipe is filled with an antifreeze mixture, commonly known as brine. This ensures that the liquid will not freeze at low temperatures and secures energy transfer.

Using the heat pump’s built-in circulation pump, the brine passes into the ground where it becomes warmer. It is then returned to the heat pump, where we can extract energy.

Thanks to the sun’s influence, the ground is continuously recharged with energy, season by season, and will provide the home with heating or cooling as needed.

Your Thermia heat pump ensures that everything works automatically and provides perfect indoor comfort, no matter the season and whatever the weather.
