Is 35mm Film Any Good For Landscapes?

I was planning an outing to one of my favourite locations in Wales but couldn't decide what camera to take. Despite the usual advice to use medium and large format film cameras on such subjects I opted to take a simple 35mm camera and lens then make a large print to see how well it held up.

I chose this company because they allowed images up to 100 megapixels. Unfortunately it was in a high gloss finish only which is highly reflective.
