2017+ Chrysler Pacifica Roof Rack J Hook installation for Kayak Mounting

Optimal mounting for dual kayaks on 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica. In the absence of front or rear anchor hooks below the bumpers, you can use the factory hooks on the roof rack to secure front and rear of the kayaks. Then strap the tops of the kayaks to the J Hook bars only. You dont want to stress the rack and you dont want any of the cambuckle straps tight, just taut. Do not ratchet, you will dent your kayak. with 4 anchor points, its not going to go anywhere at taut pressure. I tried a dozen different mounting methods before i arrived at this and am very happy with the result, have driven many hours at high speed with this setup. Enjoy!
