LOCAL RACING IS BACK - historic Bass Lake Triathlon (happy hour included)

This past weekend was all about celebrating our return to racing. After a quick road trip into the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, we took on the Bass Lake Olympic distance triathlon near Yosemite National Park, where we each took home overall wins (Jenna beating the women's field by a whopping 20 minutes). But what's a local race without good vibes, friends, and family. John Mattox (Miguel's dad) won the sprint distance 70-74 age group, while Marty Mattox (mom and former Ironman Kona qualifier), Nolan Mattox (brother), and Teri (Nolan's partner and marathon runner) competed as Team Happy Hour in the mixed relay division. These weekends are to remind us what this sport is all about.

With humble roots as college swimmers and academics, we’ve worked hard to become two of the country’s leading age-group triathletes, and are now on a mission to become professional athletes and content gurus.
