Phase 4 (FT991A Antenna Tuner Efficiency) 10m (USB & FM) 6m (USB) with new CP610 Antenna
This video shows how the FT991A antenna tuner is able to adjust the 2.0 SWR on 29.600 FM to SWR 1.2 and 2.8 SWR on 50.125 USB to 1.3 SWR.
The FT991A tuner will take the impedance presented by the feedline and attempt to match it as close as possible the FT991A radios impedance of 50ohms.
There is some power reduced as the tuner tries to manager a larger impedance mismatch - and this is noticeable on my 6m test.
Using the tuner will allow me to safely transmit on 10m FM and 6m USB and not damage the radio
