‘So powerful’: Young Australians attend Anzac Day services
Shadow Infrastructure Minister Bridget McKenzie says it’s “so powerful” to see plenty of young Australians attending Anzac Day services.
Australians have gathered around the nation to honour those who have served.
Ms McKenzie highlighted the importance of young people hearing the Anzac stories.
“I think it’s so powerful to have them here – hearing the stories from today’s ADF and hearing these stories from the legends of previous servicemen and women,” she told Sky News Australia.
“I think part of both the speeches I heard today were not glorifying war; being quite realistic about the impact of war on communities.”
