KC & The Sunshine Band ~ Keep It Comin' Love 1977 Disco Purrfection Version

KC was big on repetitive vocal hooks so that record buyers would know exactly what song to ask for at the record store. "Keep It Comin' Love" broke the habit of KC & The Sunshine Band's hitting #1 on the pop charts with one single and then the follow ups not being able to crack the top 20, by peaking at #2 pop and #1 R&B. Released on the Part 3 LP, it segued directly into their third #1 pop hit, "I'm Your Boogie Man". KC felt that a lot of people try hard to get by and just when they should keep going, they quit. Unfortunately, this hits quit coming for the band, save for two top 40 hits , "Boogie Shoes" and "It's The Same Old Song" the first song they covered. They closed out the 70's with another #1, "Please Don't Go" and then KC hit with Teri DeSario on "Yes, I'm Ready" peaking at #2, but went all the way to the top of the Adult Contemporary survey. KC's next hit came after Epic Records refused to release "Give It Up" in 1983 in the US, so he negotiated his release from the label, created his own MECA label and independently promoted the song, which peaked at #18 an amazing feat considering that the major labels practically ran radio at the time.
