Painting a Monarch Butterfly in Watercolors and Ink Doodles

This video is a demonstration of an intuitive painting process using watercolors and doodles. Monarch butterflies are so beautiful and I look forward to their appearance in my garden over the months to come.

Here’s a list of the materials I used for this painting:

* Water
* Paper towels
* Canson Watercolor Paper
* Artist Tape
* Koi Water Colors Palette (I used cobalt blue, quinacridone magenta, olive green and prussian blue)
* Water Color Confections - Decadent Pies palette (I used pistachio cream)
* White Uniball Signo pen
* #10 round brush by Artist Brush
* #4 round brush by Benicci
* 10/0 Micro Mini brush by Creative Mark
* Uniball Signo 207 black ink pen

The video was recorded using my iPhone 12 and processed using iMovie.

Music for the video was provided by the You Tube Audio Library. Big thanks to Patrick Patrikos for giving us permission to use his song Oh My!
