Plein Air Painting Workshops 2016 in Downeast Maine (Lubec)

Michael Chesley Johnson leads weeklong, half-day plein air workshops in the summer at his studio gallery in Lubec, Maine. Right next to Campobello Island, Lubec offers bold cliffs, quiet beaches, lighthouses and a historic fishing village. Adjacent Campobello Island, in New Brunswick, Canada, is a beautiful place, made famous by the US President Franklin D. Roosevelt, whose family had a summer cottage on the island. Over one-third of the island consists of parklands and provides plenty of opportunity for painting. Workshops are half-days only. Paint half the day and then explore Lubec and Campobello Island the other half! 4 half days. All media welcome. (Michael will work in pastel and oil.) Small workshop size! 4 students max.
