Gorilla VS Gorilla Fight
Gorillas are extremely powerful. They have more strength than two or three people put together. It’s not even close. The Silverbacks can lift or throw up to 815 kilos, while a well-trained man can only lift up to 400 kilos. This makes the Silverbacks stronger than quite a few adult individuals combined. In this video, a big brawl breaks out between two silverbacks, and you can see both gorillas are very upset. Some of the other apes watch but don’t intervene.
What is peculiar about all this is that the gorillas don’t even pay attention to the humans watching them. A fully grown gorilla is incredibly powerful, while only tipping the scales at around four-hundred pounds. This stunning silverback wants to show everyone in the enclosure who’s the boss, so he runs around flaunting his athleticism and strength, letting the other gorillas know what they're up against. In this video, when a silverback tries to bully a blackback, he gets taught a lesson by the dominant male.
Hierarchy is present in gorilla communities and dominant males run things in the community. Even when a woman approaches to take pics, the gorillas don’t mind her and continue their scuffle. On an extremely hot day, two gorillas don’t see eye-to-eye and get into a fight. The hot weather probably made them more aggressive than usual, and they decided to burn some calories. Gorillas are extremely powerful, and hierarchy is present in gorilla communities, and dominant males run things in the community.
Gorilla Attacks On Baby Gorilla
In this video, mom started pushing and dragging her kid, until another bigger gorilla, probably dad, scared mom away. We later found out that the gorilla dragging the youngster was not his mom, but his sister. It figures! The bigger one walking back with the baby clinging to her leg was the mother. Apparently, the sister was playing with her brother. Wow, if that was playing, I wouldn’t want to see the sister hit her brother.
When a gorilla snatches a small baby gorilla, another gorilla, probably the baby’s mom, immediately runs after the gorilla to take the baby back. The gorilla manages to do so and protects the baby against the other gorillas. Silverbacks have been witnessed purposefully killing newborns, particularly mountain gorillas. This is usually the situation after a female is transferred to another male with her kid or when a new leading male takes over.
An older gorilla picks on a younger one in this video. The action takes place at the Philadelphia Zoo, and I must say that the young gorilla is not intimidated one bit by the large Silverback, because he chases him around the enclosure. It’s probably a game they’re playing. When two young baby gorillas are about to get into a playful scuffle, mom grabs her baby to pull him away, but that triggers a reaction from all the other gorillas in the enclosure and a brawl breaks out between the adult gorillas, which eventually ends.
