Wine review: Prunelart De Labarthe
In my quest for wines made from interesting rare grapes I came across the Prunelart which is still cultivated on a small scale in Gaillac (south-west of France) by a few winemakers, including De Labarthe.
In 1600 this wine grape was considered top of the range, now it's almost extinct. It is however the genetic predecessor of the better known Malbec grape.
In this clip we have a closer look (and tasting !) at the Prunelart De Labarthe wine.
