Nextbase Suction Cup Dash Cam Mount
In this video, I’m fitting the Nextbase Series 2 Suction Cup Mount into my van, because the sticky pad in the box has failed and is coming away from the windscreen.

This is the Nextbase Series 2 suction cup (part number NBDVRS2SCUP) and I’ve bought one because I’ve had a problem with my dash cam, and I’m guessing I’m not alone.
I reviewed the Nextbase 622GW last year and it’s been keeping a watchful eye on the road in front and behind me since, but unfortunately both of the sticky pads mounts it came with have started peeling off the windscreen, so it’s time to look for something a little more permanent.
And that’s where the suction cup mount comes in!
It attaches to the dashcam using exactly the same holes but will provide a much more secure attachment
First I unclipped the dash cam from the windscreen mount, unplugged it and removed the sticky pad from the glass.
After cleaning the area to get rid of any residue, I could find my new position for the suction cup, push it down, flick the lever and then click the dashcam back into place.
I’ve been really impressed with the mount; it’s a super strong hold, seems much sturdier than the sticky pads and I feel much more confident that the dash will stay in place… plus the installation was really easy and has the added bonus that it can easily be moved between vehicles!
I’ve got the links to this suction cup mount and the one with the Click & Go GPS mount, if you don’t already have that with your dashcam, in the description below if you need them.
