Deep in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains, in the remote village of Samakova, a family of seven lives the way their ancestors did for centuries. No supermarkets. No modern conveniences. Just a wood-burning stove, five children, and a mother whose hands never stop.

In this documentary, we follow Svitlana and Dmytro through one extraordinary ordinary day — from pre-dawn milking in a freezing barn to a late-night dinner cooked over open fire. Watch as Svitlana carries a giant autumn pumpkin across the yard, transforms ancient millet and raw milk into traditional Harbuzova Kasha, and prepares golden fried pork for seven hungry mouths. See Dmytro building a massive traditional haystack — the defining act of Carpathian autumn — while the children play among horses and firewood.
