Another set tilt-able RS-100L simplified vacuum emulsifying mixer has been completed by Ginhong workers. We are checking whether each component is flawless in the video. As expected, every function is working well. And it will be delivered to an Australian company this month.
The RS-100L emulsifying mixing machine was tailor made for a new customer in cosmetic industry, and it will be used to make a range of emulsions. This vacuum cream mixer is heated by two 4kw electric heaters. And it has a series functions of mixing,emulsifying, homogenizing, vacuum, heating and cooling, and discharging. This simplified vacuum cream mixer adopts double pneumatic cylinders to replace common hydraulic cylinder, which is helpful to save purchasing cost for customer. This vacuum emulsifying mixer is a compact and economic type for making small batches of cream and emulsion. Its working capacity of the manufacturing vessel can be tailored from 30L to 100L.
Water phase tank and oil phase tank can be equipped according to customer’s demand.
What is simplified vacuum emulsion mixer?
RS simplified vacuum emulsion mixer, also called vacuum emulsion machine, is a tilt-able vacuum mixer system for the production of cream and suspensions in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries. It’s the simplified version of our standard RS vacuum emulsifying mixer and is suitable for budget tight customers to make small batches.
What is simplified vacuum emulsion mixer made of?
RS pilot vacuum emulsifying tank is generally made of main emulsifying mixer, oil phase mixer, water phase mixer, vacuum system, pneumatic lifting system, tilting system for the main emulsifying vessel, heating and cooling system, temperature control system, electrical control panel etc.
The main emulsifying kettle consists of a high speed high shear homogenizer and counter-rotating centre agitator and wall scraper. The homogenizer, centre agitator and wall scraper are all mounted from the top of the cover.
The oil and water phase pre-mixers have exactly the same construction. There’s a high speed agitator mounted from the top of the cover which helps dissolve the ingredients. Some customers may omit the oil and water phase boilers and keep the main emulsifying tank only.
How does simplified vacuum emulsion machine work?
During the mixing operation, the outer frame agitator rotates clockwise slowly. With the attached Teflon blades, the materials are scraped off the vessel wall and move upwards so they won’t always stick to the wall and burn.
At the same time the inner straight impeller rotates counter clockwise slowly and moves the cream downward into the high speed homogenizing and emulsifying zone.
Because of the two opposite forces by center agitator and wall scraper, the cream rolls over the vessel from top to bottom and back to top repeatedly. When the cream is completely mixed, the heat from the jacket is quickly transferred to every part through the inside wall.
The heart of vacuum emulsifying vessel is batch mixer (emulsifier) which consists of one high speed rotor and one holed stator. The rotor is driven by the motor and rotates at the speed of 3000rpm producing strong suction force. The materials go into the rotor from both top and bottom and are cut, sheared, emulsified and homogenised through the shear gap between the rotor and stator. Then they’re accelerated to jet out through the holes on the stator.
The above three types of slow and high forces repeat and repeat. And the cream is circulated inside the emulsifying vessel and mixed, dispersed, emulsified and homogenised uniformly.
Rotary impeller type vacuum pump (–0.08Mpa) is used to pull out the bubbles generated during mixing, dispersing and homogenising. It also helps transfer the ingredients from the oil and water phase tanks to the main emulsifying kettle. The small quantity powders are also sucked by vacuum to avoid dust.
The cover of the main emulsifying mixer is lifted pneumatically. You connect compressed air (≤0.5Mpa) to the two cylinders and operate it electronically.
