Episode 16: Paddling The Silver River

Every once in a while you just have to get out of town. In this episode I launch my canoe into the waters (some new and some familiar) of the Ocala National Forest and the Silver River, both inside and outside Silver Springs State Park. Along the way, we get up close and personal with a mellow manatee, a cantankerous crane, and a slightly agitated alligator.

My name is Dean and this is Lake Log. I'm a native Floridian with a camera, a canoe named Mango, and enough curiosity and energy to want to document some of the natural parts of Florida before they disappear (or at least before I do).
