Stimulus Check Update 6-22-20: Trump Second Stimulus Payment Soon? McConnell $2,000 Monthly Checks

Here’s your daily stimulus check and stimulus package update for Monday, June 22nd, 2020.

Some politicians are reigniting the fire to provide Americans with monthly $2,000 stimulus checks.

Rep. Ro Khanna went on Twitter over the weekend to discuss his frustrations with the CARES Act and the delay for another disaster relief package.

Explaining that millions of people have yet to receive their first stimulus checks, Khanna believes that monthly direct payments are the only way to keep Americans afloat.

He stated: "A one-time, $1,200 dollar check isn't going to cut it."

Khanna continued: "Americans need sustained cash infusions for the duration of this crisis in order to come out on the other side alive, healthy, and ready to get back to work.”

With the poor rollout of CARES Act funds and no further stimulus checks, we need more Representatives to be thinking about ALL Americans during these unprecedented times.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell recently stated that another stimulus package is likely to be coming soon...but not soon enough.

Attending a campaign stop in his home state of Kentucky, McConnell expressed the nation’s need for another “rescue” package.

Offering his timeline of the passage of another stimulus bill, McConnell stated: “Keep your eyes out for July.”

July? July what Mitch? July 1st...July 15th...July 31st?

President Trump offered some good news on another round of stimulus checks.

In a recent interview, Trump was asked point blank whether he supports a second stimulus payment.

Trump stated: “I would do that, and we expect to do that at some point in the very near future. We’re coming up with some concepts now and we expect it to be bipartisan. We think we’re going to get it done.”

Hopefully Trump is being honest when saying that another stimulus check could be arriving in the very near future

With November’s election just months away, let’s hope that this motivates the President to push Congress to pass another stimulus package soon.

Maybe Trump could kick McConnell and the Senate into gear and force them to cancel their 2 week vacation in July to work on a Phase 4 stimulus package.
