Rencontre improbable entre un instrument du haut (la flûte) et un du bas (le tuba), ce duo est né de l’imagination de Pierre Scheidt, le directeur du festival des « Fifres de Garonne » à Saint Pierre d’Aurillac. Entre compositions et traditionnels, entre conventions et improvisations, le dialogue opère immédiatement avec un Michel Godard d’une extraordinaire écoute et d’une grande générosité. Nous voilà à la croisée des chemins entre musiques traditionnelles, jazz, musique contemporaine, etc.

Jean-Luc Thomas/Michel Godard : it’s an improbable meeting between the flute and the tuba, based on an idea by Pierre Scheidt, director of the "Fifres de Garonne" festival. These two travelers full of humanity generate a new world of sound. This disc offers a listening experience through its sounds and creativity. Starting with traditional music, it leads to delusions of the imagination. Alternating their positions as soloist or accompanist, the musicians don’t hesitate to use the recording, rhythmic loops, electronic effects or recorded voices.
