TV Tokyo; known by its callsign JOTX-DTV and also shortly called as Teleto (テレ東), is a Japanese television station that serves as the flagship of the TX Network, along with five local affiliates around Japan. It is owned by the second TV Tokyo Corporation - part of the TV Tokyo Holdings Corporation which, in turn, is a subsidiary of Nikkei, Inc. since 2010.

After been a hiatus for a year and a half, the Pretty Series, a rhythm arcade game franchise that included Pretty Rhythm and its sequels as well as spin-offs such as PriPara, Kiratto Pri Chan and Waccha PriMagi, makes its return with its latest incarnation - Himitsu no AiPri, or Secret AiPri.

In its story, AiPris (shortform for 'Idol Princess') are secret idols who performs inside a virtual world known as the AiPri-Verse. The anime series, which premiered 7 April 2024, follows the double lives of students Himari Aozora and Mitsuki Hoshikawa - a childhood friend and roommate of the latter.

Himari admired the popular AiPri named Mi-chan, but by chance, she finally finds an AiPri Bracelet in the girls' dormitory and puts it on, she then passes through the gateway to the AiPri-Verse, where she makes her AiPri debut. She has to keep this fact a secret, but meanwhile, Mi-chan turned out to be Mitsuki herself, and she has been keeping a secret from everyone around her, including Himari.

The two of them both have secrets and have both broken their childhood promise to debut in AiPri together. So, their relationship is about to become strained, but they reveal to each other that they've become AiPris. Thus, the two of them bring their school life and AiPri activities while carrying their secrets.

The second season, better known as the 'Ring Arc', follows Mitsuki and Himari in their second year at Paradise Private Academy, and with the arrival of new students full of unique personalities, life at school promises to be more exciting than ever.

But meanwhile in the AiPri-Verse, a mysterious princess named Ring Clover and her Imuu butler, Shitsumu, announce that an 'AiPri Contest' would take place. It is a series of contests involving the world's best AiPris who will make Ring's heart sparkle, and they compete for the Eternal Coord and the elusive title 'Eternal AiPri'.

At the same time, new AiPris are there to hit the stage to bring all surprising experiences with new Buzzlume Changes in each of the five AiPri Contests.
