Alt-J play their song "Tessellate" live in concert before a sold-out crowd at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California on March 23, 2023. Tessellate was released as a single in 2011 and then appeared on the band's debut studio album, An Awesome Wave (2012). Alt-J is a Grammy nominated indie rock band from Leeds, England consisting of Joe Newman (guitar / bass / lead vocals), Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards / bass / vocals), and Thom Green (drums). This was the second-to-last night of their An Awesome Wave 10th Anniversary Tour, in which they are celebrated their debut by playing the album in its entirety.

alt-J (Δ) are one of the most successful British bands of the millennium. Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Sonny Green have released four studio albums that, between them, have sold in excess of two million copies and their songs have been streamed over two and a half billion times.
