We Escaped The Rat Race...Now We Are Crossing The Pacific EP72

One year ago, we walked away from everything we had ever known — our home, our business, our friends, and the life we had built — to escape the endless rat race.

We were chasing “the next best thing,” trying to fill a void that no achievement or possession could satisfy. So we made a radical decision: moved aboard a 40-foot boat, and cast off the lines in search of something more meaningful.

We chose a life of experience over status. Adventure over accumulation. Relationships over routine.

Today, that leap of faith has carried us across oceans. We’re now crossing the Pacific aboard our 50-foot Selene trawler, living one “pinch-me” moment after another as we explore some of the most remote and beautiful places on Earth.

This week, we celebrate one full year of living aboard — currently “stranded” in Fiji while we wait for the right weather window to continue our Pacific crossing to French Polynesia.

Join us as we reflect on how far we’ve come — and embrace the unpredictable beauty of life at sea.
