Diana's death - BBC coverage 9 AM - 1:07 PM

Four hours continuous rolling coverage from 'BBC Television from London' (an emergency station merger of BBC 1 and BBC 2) on Sunday 31 August 1997. Martyn Lewis respectfully anchors, linking the tributes to Diana, Princess of Wales; he hands over to Peter Sissons at 1 PM. This coverage starts at 9 AM and runs to just after 1 PM and is a reupload in better quality of two previous files.

Highlights include new Prime Minister Tony Blair's much quoted tribute at 1:27:23 and Martyn Lewis's uncharacteristic catch in his voice when repeating them at 1:32:20. Note the public debate which erupts around Stephen Evans during his report from Kensington Palace at 1:25:35.
