The Story of Titanic - Radio Control Titanic and Titanic Sinking Model / Titanic Submersible Model

Since I was a boy I have always been fascinated by the Titanic. I had the privilege to meet a survivor at a special Titanic Historical Society event when I was 10 years old... on the 75th anniversary of the sinking!!! This movie is a recreation of “some” of the events and details that happened told through toys and models. Given how I shot this video - one handed while controlling the Titanic with the other hand I could not recreate every detail of this disaster, please understand I did try my best with what I had to work with but this is not exact...This movie is dedicated to all the lives affected by this tragedy and by no means is meant to be disrespectful in anyway. I tried to make this as accurate as I could but please understand I do not have a budget so I used what I had available to me to make this film - so any ship represented other than Titanic will only “resemble” their true counterparts in this story. Sound effects used are meant to “resemble” sounds that happened - they will not be exact... With that said I hope you can use your imagination and enjoy!!! ***Please note that a few photos used as Titanic in this film are Olympic, (0:29 has been identified as both Titanic and Olympic - both online and by viewers... & 0:36 is RMS Olympic but used as Titanic in this video because there are no known photos of Titanic’s propellers) just like the news papers in 1912, The White Star Line PR dept., and even some documentaries today, use Olympic photos... Olympic photos where/are used in place of Titanic photos where Titanic photos do not exist. Many parts of Titanic where never photographed - White Star used Olympic for almost all publicity photos for the Olympic Class to include Titanic as Olympic was launched and completed before Titanic - (especially concerning the interior) no one ever thought Titanic would sink - so sadly not to many photos were taken at the start! - so they did not take as many photos of Titanic as she was the second of the trio to be built - Also, please note that some photos of Titanic actually look identical to Olympic, as for a time Titanic looked just like Olympic until they closed the forward A deck (which is the most obvious difference) I did my best to use as many Titanic photos as possible. If I got fooled somewhere and used the wrong photo forgive me, the point is Titanic looked like that whether it was Olympic or not and that is what I was trying to illustrate, I am just trying to give you a sense through the photos and toys -what seeing Titanic in person may have been like :-)

***The Carpathia in this video is a model of the Mauretania - I did not have a Carpathia model to use so I picked another CUNARD line ship and used selective shots to try and make it resemble Carpathia for the purposes of this film.

*** please note during the iceberg collision scene I used a school bell sound effect (It is what I had at the time) but during the actual collision it would have been 3 rings on the mast’s bell.
