I graduated from medical school at 22. This is my journey.
Hey guys! This is a bit more of a personal one because I’ve had quite a few people ask me how my life panned out that I started practicing medicine at the young age of 22. In this video, I talk about my journey to and through medical school, how I went from an aspiring professional football player to a doctor, moving 9000 miles away from home by myself and the decisions in my life that lead me to where i am today.
I hope it gives some insight into me and my life, and inspires others to pursue their own path as well. Remember, life is not a race!
I didn’t take a gap year, I didn’t intercalate, and although I think they would have been amazing experiences, I don’t regret it. I know it’s a huge privilege to be where I am today so young, and I’m excited to see where my journey takes me!
I’m planning to make a follow up to this just to reflect on the things I’ve learned and experiences, so stay tuned!
As always, if anyone is in a similar position and would like some guidance or just wants to have a chat or ask a question or two, please feel free to reach out to me!
