I'd like you guys to take a look at the two harness kits linked below. One is $8500 and the other is $600. While both will serve the same overall function, one is representative of the quality needed for a $350k+ custom car and the other would be more suited for a typical hot rod. Deutsch Autosport bulkhead connectors, Raychem heat shrink, Mil Spec Tefzel wire are what makes the premium wiring harness so much more expensive. While this is a single example, this type of decision making is required throughout the build process. We take this same approach to the entire build of our cars and this is why most of my resto mod estimates start at the 350k mark.
