SURPRISE MARRIAGE PROPOSAL | EMOTIONAL ENGAGEMENT | NOVEMBER 14, 2020

I finally propose to my girlfriend of 11 years on November 14, 2020. This video shows the behind the scenes set up of the proposal, the surprise, memories, engagement photos and more!

BACKGROUND: Shayna and I have been dating since November 3, 2009. We spent more than a third of our lives together. We've grown so much since we first started dating. We've been there for each other every step of the way, from graduating high school and college, raising a dog, having our first drinks, finding our first jobs, traveling to different countries, exploring new interests and hobbies... We've always had open discussions about our future and what we wanted in a relationship. She figured that I would not propose in 2020 and would most likely wait until 2021. She had no idea for what's to come.

She planned a wine tasting trip to Paso Robles, California with a few close friends. As soon as she told me about this trip, I figure that this was the perfect opportunity to surprise her with my proposal. I contacted her friends and got to planning right away. Luckily for us, Justin Winery (one of the wineries that they were planning to visit) had a private area for special events. I was able to reserve the site for that date and worked closely with the event coordinator to set up the decorations while Shayna and her friends were wine tasting at another winery nearby.

Shayna and her friends arrived to Justin Winery at around 2:30PM, where they met the coordinator who offered to give them a "private tour" of the vineyard. The coordinator directed them to the proposal site and that is where the magic happened. Please enjoy the video!
