US Naval Academy cadets climb up greased monument in quirky annual tradition
The U.S. Naval Academy's freshman class successfully climbed the greased 6.4-metre Herndon Monument to replace the freshman "plebe" Dixie cup hat with an upperclassmen hat, marking their official passage from first-year cadets to fourth class midshipmen. The annual tradition dates back to the 1950s. #Military #Cadets #Tradition #USA
