In this Blossom Dearie Tribute performance Sarah Kennedy is doing her darnedest impression of Blossom's girlish voice delivering diabolically satirical lyrics. The band is Bill Coon (guitar,) Nick Peck (piano), Alex Kelley (bass), Sam Cartwright (drums). This video was taken at Frankie's Jazz club in Vancouver in 2017. This tune is "Blossom's Blues" composed by Blossom herself.

Biography:
Sarah Kennedy is a Montréal-based, Vancouver-born vocalist, songwriter and bandleader. As a performer is known for her light and smooth vocal tone, depth of emotional expression, and cunning humour. Sarah's tender and rambunctious musical personality is revealed in her diverse repertoire. She has performed in the Vancouver International Jazz festival and was interviewed on CBC's Hot Air for the 100th birthday of Ella Fitzgerald.

Her début album "Portrait" displays her strong connection to Jazz and Bossa Nova repertoire. Sarah's next album "The Beloved" will be released in Winter 2021 and features poetry about universal love captured in original jazz-folk compositions. She can currently be found doing solo performances at small venues in Montréal self-accompanied on guitar.
