Graphene Water Filter | Innovation Marathon 2018

Water purification has always been in a problem in remote areas. We seek to introduce a product that will completely transform the current process of water purification.
We aim at providing industry standard water purification in a portable and affordable package.
Graphene is an allotrope of carbon, a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice structure, with a single layer of atomic thickness. Due to the strong hydrophilicity of graphene oxide, the graphene film is used for desalination, and the water flux can be increased by several orders of magnitude compared to conventional reverse osmosis membranes.
Our filter is easy to assemble and uses recycled materials which significantly significantly brings down its cost to a total of ₹250.

We are students of Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram.
