8 Signs Your Guy is Playing Mind Games!

How can you tell if your partner is playing mind games or if they’re just not that into you? In this video I’m going to explain why people play dating mind games and give you 8 clear examples to look for.

If you've ever felt a sense of impending doom when sending a text, waited around by the phone for it to just not ring, or felt insecure because of a partner's actions, there's a big chance that you're the victim of someone’s mind games. Mind games can be defined as calculated and mostly conscious behaviors used to manipulate, intimidate, or undermine one partner's behaviors or belief in the validity of their own perceptions.

Mind games involve manipulation, twisting the facts and creating doubt to destabilize another person. Mind games are also used by insecure partners who wish to change the direction and experience of a relationship.  For example, a person who doesn't feel that their partner is attentive enough might engage in some manipulative behavior in hopes of creating doubt, fear, or jealousy in the relationship.  Even worse, mind games are often used by abusive partners who aim to break down and control their partner.  So people use them to gain, preserve, or acquire more control over another person. And if their game can elicit a particular response from you, or move you to do what they want, then they gain the powerful feeling they are looking for and feel in control of you and the situation.

The tricky part of recognizing mind games in a relationship is that when you’re emotionally involved, It’s difficult to be objective and see what’s really happening. Especially when youre in the middle of it and feeling in love. That’s why it’s so important to have an objective perspective of your love life, whether that’s a professional counselor, a wise loved one, or a relationship coach or mentor.

Successful relationships require both partners to say what they feel, and mean what they say.  If someone is inconsistent with you or playing mind games to manipulate you, congratulate them on winning their game and manipulating you right out of their life.
