Shaped window shutters with a curved fan top - See how the louvre blades move

Window shutters can be shaped to suit most window designs. In this video you can see how the curved shutter is hinged downwards and how the shaped louvre blades are moved using a curved control rod.

Find examples of our shaped window shutters here https://www.opennshut.co.uk/gallery/shapes/ You will see that shutters can be triangular, arched, or curved to suit your window.

Shaped designs cannot always be opened in the normal way due to the shape of the recess above the shape. In this example you can see the fan top is hinged downwards, this is possible because it's fitted onto a horizontal Tpost.

The louvres are all shaped to suit the curve or angle of the window opening. You can operate these louvres individually or by ordering a curved control rod as shown in the video.

The shutters shown in this video are Elite Plus, they have horizontal and vertical Tposts to help line up the shutters with the window layout. The 8 full height shutters are split into 3 sections using the vertical Tposts so the shutter configuration is LLTLLRRTRR. The louvre size is medium 64mm and they are finished in silk white.

You can order shaped shutters DIY, or we can measure, design and fit the shutters for you. Just visit our website and request a survey or upload photos of your windows to us for some advice.
