Ethiopia ready to generate electricity from the Grand Renaissance Dam
Ethiopia says it is ready to start generating electricity from the Grand Renaissance Dam that it is constructing on the River Nile.
It says two turbines will be able to produce power within the next few months. The dam remains controversial as Sudan and Egypt oppose its operation, demanding a new binding agreement.
