E-3G AWACS Destroyed at PSAB: Lucky or Precision?

How did our adversary know EXACTLY where to target the Air Force E-3G Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System or AWACS aircraft at Prince Sultan Air Base?

Satellite imagery of the base taken two weeks ago showed all the AWACS parked together. All the KC-135s and EC-130 Compass Call aircraft are on the same ramp. The aircraft involved was parked by itself on a taxiway near one runway as seen in the before and after satellite photo.

The chilling part of the projectile impact was that it struck the MOST VITAL part of the airframe. The distinctive black radar flapjack dome, radar transmitter and receiver equipment, and the computer systems are in the destroyed section of the aircraft. How did they know that information or better yet, who gave it to them?

Was this just luck or a planned and extremely precise impact point of the projectile? How would they have known that section of the airframe is the guts of an AWACS plane?
