A Brief History Of Money

This video presents a brief history of money. From the hunter gatherer period when bartering was the way people exchanged goods and services, to the monetary metals that developed with civilization (gold, silver, and copper for example), to the development of paper money in China and its spread around the world, to the gold standard, then the Bretton Woods system that came about from the Bretton Woods conference of 1944, to the fiat currencies of today, all the way to the development of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin happening in our modern age, learn about the history of money in only 12 minutes!

Included in our discussion is how the US dollar became the global reserve currency, the problems of inflation and money printing that plagues the fiat currencies we use today, and some thoughts on cryptocurrencies.
