Fried Sage and Brie Baguette Sandwich

Toast Tuesday: Fried Sage and Brie Baguette Sandwich!

Is it just us or are the fall flavor cravings kicking into high gear this week? This recipe starts with our organic sourdough leavened demi-baguette and gets layer after layer of seasonal flavors, plus a hack for crispy sage that cuts out the mess of deep frying. Details below!

Ingredients:
1/2 Izzio Organic Demi-Baguette
1.5 oz tripe cream brie cheese
1 tbsp dried cranberries
1.5 tbsp walnuts
5 sage leaves
Spray oil
Honey, to taste
Flaky salt, to taste

1. Cut your Izzio Organic Demi Baguette lengthwise. Toast until cut side is a light golden brown.
2. Meanwhile, “fry” your sage. Place sage leaves on a microwave safe plate, spray oil on both sides, and microwave in 30 second increments until crispy.
3. Remove bread from toaster oven, layer with brie, cranberries, walnuts, and fried sage leaves. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with flaky salt. Close your sandwich and allow heat from the toasted bread to warm the brie. Serve immediately.
