Andrew Wakefield was a former British doctor who gained international attention in 1998 after publishing an article which highlighted 12 children who developed autism and bowel inflammation after recieving the MMR Vaccine.
It has led to a widespread anti-vaccine sentiment that still persists to this day, but if you take a look beneath the surface of Wakefield's paper, you'll find some scandalous motivations for it.
