After dismantling Errol Spence Jr. to become the new undisputed welterweight champion of the world, Terence Crawford has made it clear that he wants a crack at Jermell Charlo next.

“Bud” has also made it evident that he doesn’t like Charlo and is willing to explain why.

“I don’t like Jermell for the simple fact that I feel like he’s a fake individual,” Crawford told The Porter Way Podcast on Tuesday. “I feel like Jermell is just one of those guys that do a lot for attention.”

That being said, Crawford revealed that there was a time that the two had a friendship.

“I was cool with Jermell and Jermall and their older brother prior to me moving up in weight,” Crawford pointed out. “I got messages with [Jermell] hitting me up, [saying] he’s going to pull up in Omaha, we’re talking about cars, we’re talking about all different type of stuff.”

But that friendship would change as Crawford worked his way up in weight, according to “Bud.”

He further explained: “Once I moved up in the division — and I understand that they’re stablemates and he trains with Errol’s coach and they’ve been knowing each other for a long time — but for him to start bashing me and talking bad about me and saying I’m going to get knocked out, just going out of his way to say little slick s—t about me, I was like, man, that’s some h— s—t. We don’t do s—t like that.”

As of now, Crawford fighting Charlo is contingent on a couple of factors: First, it remains to be seen if Spence will activate his rematch clause for another fight with the welterweight king.

Also, Charlo, the undisputed junior middleweight world champion, is moving up two weight classes to challenge undisputed super middleweight world champ Canelo Alvarez on September 30.

If Charlo moves back down to defend his undisputed crown at 154 pounds thereafter and accepts a challenge from Crawford, “Bud” will have the opportunity to become boxing’s first undisputed champion in three separate weight divisions, having already accomplished the feat at 140 and 147 pounds.

Jermell Charlo has publicly told Terence Crawford that he will fight him next year.

Crawford knocked out Charlo's gymmate Errol Spence last month to claim the undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO welterweight (147lbs) world titles.

Charlo is already the undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO super-welterweight (154lbs) world champion.

Therefore Crawford has made it clear that Charlo is his next target.

However, Spence has said he intends to activate his rematch clause to force Crawford to face him again next.

Meanwhile, Charlo is already scheduled for a fight with Canelo Alvarez on September 30.

This bout will see him jump up two divisions to challenge the Mexican for his undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO super-middleweight (168lbs) world titles.

Some fans doubted whether Charlo would return to super-welterweight (154lbs) after this, but the American has now insisted this is exactly what he will do.

Charlo posted on Sunday night: "Bout To Shock The World (168). Then I’m Coming Back To Hold My Throne Down At (154).

"I'M THE KING. NOTHING Will Stop Me. Mega Fights Here On Out.

"After My Boy's Rematch, We Can Give The People What They Want And Make The Terence Crawford [Fight] Happen!!"

Crawford commented: "Good Luck in your fight, I wish you the best."
