Porsche GT4RS or Spyder RS? The Best Driver’s Cars of the Decade, Back-to-Back

Both wear the “RS” badge and share Porsche’s 4.0-liter, naturally aspirated flat-six (493 hp/331 lb-ft) that screams to 9,000 rpm—PDK only. Today we drive the 718 Spyder RS and GT4 RS back-to-back.

We safety launch both, talk performance on the street, the Weissach/spec must-haves, Cameron's strategic upgrades, and ownership angles like resale and road-trip tolerance. I think we covered just about everything except we did not get to messing the Spyder RS roof, mostly because the weather was just perfect out that day. No doubt about it, its a bit of a draw back to the car, especially if you plan to enjoy often.

We discussed sounds, steering feel, braking, cabin livability, and what the aero and roof actually change: GT4 RS’s swan-neck wing and extra downforce vs the Spyder RS’s setup.
