Writing challenging music for children | Vlog 47

My D-Day 75 project with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is well under way and in this episode I visit some of the children who will together form the 100-strong choir, and discuss with some of the teachers involved how children respond to challenging music.

Our D-Day 75 project urgently needs your support. Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra has brought together 100 children from the Portsmouth area, two D-Day veterans, local community musicians and leading young composer James Olsen to create a unique new work to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day this June.

Please support our project so we can help inspire the next generation to learn about this crucial moment in our history.

So far we have secured over 85% of our funding. However, with less than a month to go, we still need to raise £2,700 to cover the project’s costs.
