BIGGEST Indoor Aquarium in Europe | Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹

IMPORTANT: I said 5 oceans and in the aquarium there were 4 oceans. I thought I was going to find the 5 oceans. That is because:

"Historically, there are four named oceans: the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, and Arctic. However, most countries - including the United States - now recognize the Southern (Antarctic) as the fifth ocean."

Not only is this aquarium a great place to visit, but it's also a great place to learn about ocean conservation. You'll be able to see how marine conservation is important, and you'll be inspired to help protect our oceans! If you're in Lisbon and you're looking for a fun and interesting place to spend your day, then you need to check out the Biggest Indoor Aquarium in Europe!

Looking for a fun and exciting place to visit in Lisbon, Portugal? Look no further than the biggest indoor aquarium in Europe!

This aquarium is filled with all sorts of marine life, from sharks to seahorses to rays. Plus, the aquarium has a variety of different habitats for the creatures to live in, making it a great place to visit whether you're a fan of marine life or just looking for a fun day out.

After 1 hour and a half from Spain, we landed in Lisbon, Portugal. Through Booking we chose an apartment near the center that cost us €136 for two nights. The apartment was very well equipped, with television, kitchen and everything very clean. We also had to pay a tourist tax of 2 euros per night per person.

The oceanarium has two floors and the tour begins in the forests underwater part of Takashi Amano, which is a temporary exhibit. Tropical forests are among the richest, most diversified habitats on Earth.

Once you enter the oceanarium you find a two-floor window with an impressive image of sharks and other large fish. The Oceanário de Lisboa is the second largest aquarium in Europe and the largest Indoor aquarium in Europe and ore than 15,000 animals and plants live here.

What I really like about this place is that it perfectly imitates nature and allows you to see it from many angles. Another thing that I like is that there is space for animals, without putting too many together in one place!

Since the main fish tank is in the middle, as you go in the different oceans, you have the opportunity to see it from different points. In the Antarctic Ocean I finally saw the real penguins.

After admiring these beautiful animals we went to the Pacific Ocean. We immediately saw some very playful animals, the sea otters.

The sea otter is the smallest marine mammal and the most recent in the ocean. Without a doubt, it is a very funny animal and one that you will have to dedicate several minutes to before moving on to the Indic Ocean.

In this part you can walk inside the jungle. Before going to the next stop we see the tank again but from below. There are always people and it is not easy to take a picture. We saw very strange fish and all of them left us amazed. The beauty of the water is something incredible and if you go to Lisbon this place is a must. There is also a small section with land animals.

Being so close to such large animals is a unique sensation. We saw the big shark again before going to the last place in the oceanarium. We discovered many colourful living beings that we didn't know existed, very funny fish and very funny fish again. There is also a small cinema for those who are more passionate about the ocean.

But definitely your favourite place will be the main tank. One of the things I liked the most were the jellyfish. The way they move, the beauty of their color, reminded me a lot of the world of avatar. Finally we saw beings a little more strange, but equally interesting. Leaving this aquatic world we find a large store to buy souvenirs.

After a long day we went to Time Out Market, where you can find the best of Lisbon under one roof: the best chefs, restaurants, cultural events and cooking workshops.
The place is furnished with modern tables and chairs, both high and low, and with huge lamps that illuminate everything and bring it to life. As far as we know, it's always packed with tourists!

The tram is one of the charms of this city, and we went home to sleep with it, before starting another intense day.

The Lisbon tramway network is a system of trams that serves Lisbon, capital city of Portugal. In operation since 1873, it has nowadays six lines.

Lisbon is a wonderful city that has become increasingly popular with tourists over the last few years. But… if you want to discover more about her, don't forget to subscribe. See you in my next video!
