Van Life in Switzerland 🇨🇭 | Everything You Need to Know!

Welcome to my new adventure in Switzerland. Thanks to our motorhome we were able to discover magical places, dream towns and the famous nature of Switzerland. This trip is one of the must do throughout your life, whether with family, partner or friends. The impressive nature of this small country is worth it and I assure you that you will want more. I will show you all the details, our route and much more!

Monte Tamaro was our first stop after crossing the Italian border. It is 2,000 meters high and offers incredible views of the Alps. The opening hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (during low season) and the cable car return ticket is 31 francs.

Once we went up we couldn't do the activity because it was too late so we walked around for a few minutes. At that moment I realised that we were already in Switzerland. The tranquility and fresh air were incomparable with any other place. We walked to a viewpoint and were able to enjoy the last moments.

This place is only 90 km from Milan and a must see. If you have time you can even take the opportunity to have a picnic in the middle of nature. It is also great for kids. There is a playground up there and it is easy to hike. After this we continued our route to the next stop.

There are so many beautiful places that I don't remember the names of because with the van you never stop discovering beautiful landscapes. To be honest, you don't have to go to specific places, all of nature is incredible.

The Furka Pass, in addition to being a most demanding Swiss mountain pass, is also one of the most spectacular roads you can travel on in the Swiss Alps. The curves are very tight but the views are impressive. The temperature at night drops a lot and you can also feel the strong wind!

Going in a motorhome can be a lot of fun but if you go with a lot of people you need to sleep in a campsite to have your own space, be able to shower and be able to eat at the campsite with more space. Lake Brienz is considered one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland and without a doubt, being able to camp here is the best thing you can do. The green landscape, the mountains and the lake make this place so magical.
