Biden's approval ratings slump ahead of next year's critical midterm elections

Joe Biden's approval ratings have sunk to a new low according to a recent Rasmussen poll.

The poll, which was conducted among 1,500 likely voters, found that 46 per cent approved of Mr Biden’s job as president, while 52 per cent disapproved

The same poll found 42 per cent “strongly disapprove" of the president's first six months in office, which does not bode well for the Democrats in next year's midterm elections

Democrats only hold a narrow margin in both the House and the Senate and face an uphill battle not to lose control of Congress next year.

In the 2022 midterm elections, Republicans only need to make a net gain of five seats to regain control of the House and a net gain of one seat to take back the Senate.
