The Original Fleetwood Mac - Peter Green - First Train Home
This track was recorded on the 19th April 1967 at Decca Studios, West Hampstead as part of the John Mayall's Bluesbreakers 'Double Trouble' session. Mayall doesn't play on this track (or on the prophetic 'Fleetwood Mac' track from the same session.) This is shortly before Peter Green left The Bluesbreakers to form Fleetwood Mac with John McVie, Mick Fleetwood and Jeremy Spencer. It was first released in 1971 on the CBS 'The Original Fleetwood Mac' album. Pure, raw, live, unadulterated - one of the few occasions when Green, McVie & Fleetwood played as a 3-piece. Considered by many to be one of Green's finest recordings. Indeed, one of the finest pieces of guitar playing ever, with equisite phrasing and spacing absent from all the other British blues copyists of the time (including Clapton).
